Live event captioning, new languages for transcription, and more in the latest version of Beey

• We’re launching a new feature – the BeeyLive AI assistant for live captioning of events, conferences, lectures, galas and other public and private gatherings in real time. This live transcript can be instantly displayed on a screen or shared with the audience using a QR code which, when scanned with a phone, shows the live captions. Individual users can also set up automatic translation into their own language.
• In addition to the output language, each audience member can set the font size and preview mode – continuous text or subtitles. It is also possible to choose between dark and light display modes.

• In addition to the improved quality of most currently available languages, additional languages are now supported, such as Portuguese, Finnish, Arabic and Greek. You can choose from over 30 languages for transcription of recordings and automatic translation of projects. We regularly test all language models and research new options and secondary providers to ensure you always have the highest quality transcriber on the market.
• Do you need a language that is not yet offered in Beey, or are you interested in testing some of the languages and giving us feedback on the quality of the transcription? Please email us at [email protected].

• Do you often find that the same long phrase or title is inaccurately recognized in your projects and then you have to correct it manually? This process is now much faster and easier with the use of custom abbreviations. Simply save the entire phrase in the correct spelling for replacement and choose a shorter text abbreviation for it. For example, if you save the abbreviation “wrc” for “writ of certiorari“, you only need to type wrc in the editor and press the space bar each time, which will automatically replace the abbreviation with the full phrase.

• To make the project overview navigation easier, you can now hide the columns containing less relevant information for your use. You can set this up in the Projects tab in the top right corner of the page by clicking the Columns button, where you check off the columns you want to hide.

• All prices listed are now inclusive of VAT. With this change, the prices have also been reduced. See details in our price list.
• In addition to purchasing credits on a pay-as-you-go basis as before, you can now choose from several subscription models. These allow you to further reduce the hourly rate with regular consumption. Credits are automatically recharged every month or year according to the model you choose. Furthermore, the subscription allows you to share your credit with other users in your team. More information, a detailed explanation of the models and answers to frequently asked questions can be found here.
• You can change your pricing model and check other settings in Account > Credit and Payments after logging into the Beey editor. The Start model is set up automatically and includes no recurrent charges, same as the previous method of paying only for the credits you use, just like you used to.
